Home Again

So I finished up my work trip.

Love the sense of humor.
Good food trucks.

Had creme brulee for dessert on the night I got back, before finishing up Avatar: The Last Airbender with Mary.

I got to use the torch to cook the sugar on these.

Spent most of one day in the office before heading home for the Thanksgiving break.

Busy prepping for the outdoor Christmas party.
Boy was it packed.
This scene made me do a double-take. I was thinking, “What are they segregating the drinking fountains for?”

Had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Lisa’s.

Then some other cousins dropped by that evening.

A view of Meadowbrook Drive late at night.

The next evening was Cousin Movie Night! Went to see The Green Book, which was real fun.

Get-together at our place right afterwards.

I solicited people to come with me to the ice rink for Broom Hockey but ended up going it alone. Had a blast, until my back went out :/ Ah well, another couple weeks as an infirm person.

The next evening was the BYU vs Utah game. What a first half. And what a second half. For different reasons.

At least this was fun to watch.

The next day I found myself wanting to go to the YSA ward but without a car to drive, so I walked myself there, passing some nice sights on the way.

That evening was a get-together at Andi’s place just before Xan’s Eagle Court of Honor.

Mmmboy.
Xan’s out-door forge.

Xan had this on display but let me keep it afterwards. It was supposed to be a leaf or something, but now it can be a spoon or whatever.

After that we had a family movie night where we watched the new Christopher Robin movie. Fun times.

The look of determination.

The next day I worked from home before heading to the airport. Sad day.

Spotted this at work after coming back.
This fun little doodad was on display for the day.

Thursday was an impromptu bowling night with some friends.

The fellow in the middle was crashing at my place while he was in town for a couple weeks, before heading on down to Hawaii. He’s the guy I went to Hawaii with earlier this year. May go chill with him next year too.

Friday was a White Elephant gift exchange ward activity.

If you zoom in, from left to right we have canned vegetables as headphones, bread as loafers, and an exercise block that helps you feel good about yourself.
My contribution to the party, picked up from another Googler. I regret spending it on this party though, it would’ve been more fun at a different one. Ah well.

On Sunday evening I had a get-together slash going-away party for my buddy who’d be in Hawaii the next day.

Didn’t end up decorating these, but they tasted good anyways.
Happened to have a pretty fun load-out on this Dominion round. Wish I would’ve zoomed closer in to the cards so I could recreate the game for later.

And now I’m just counting down the days till I can hang at home again and check out the awesome choir performance! See ya then.
